THE VOTE Who's the best ref in the Premiership?

Markclattenburg_h Rent-a-quote Jeff Winter has emerged from the woodwork to denounce the standard of refereeing in the Premiership. Thanks for that Jeff – we remember you fondly, too. To be fair, Winter praises Howard Webb and Mark Clattenburg (pictured), the two officials who I think are probably the best this country has to offer right now. I rate Webb as the best in the Premiership. He's authoritative without being power-mad (Graham Poll, stand up), and wants to let games flow. He rightly got the Carling Cup final gig. I've seen Clatters have great games too, but he's also prone to the odd shocker – during Spurs v Man Utd at White Hart Lane recently he made several dubious decisions.

Who do you rate as the best ref in the Premiership?

Must be something about Man U v Spurs for Clattenburg. He was the man in charge when Mendes scored the 'goal that never was' at OT back in 2005..

I agree with Howard Webb. His rapport with the players is evident. I also think Clattenburg is good, though he suffered in the Man U vs. Spurs match.

The refs you hear about the least are usually the best, Riley, Poll and Rennie are always being mentioned usually for a greivous mistake. Clattenberg is probably best.
