Absolutely. A dive.

I love Andy Gray - how can he possibly utter the words 'just loses his balance' whilst watching the replay from that angle?

I know Visser! What one-eyed nonsense from Gray. if it was Ronaldo we'd never hear the end of it…

Straight outta the Cashley Cole School Of Diving.

Yeah. That's a blatant, and pretty poor dive. I almost admire the guys who do it convincingly. Henry's seems like an afterthought.

Shouldn't really come as much of a surprise. Henry's a diver, always has been. So is Ronaldo, Drgoba etc. Nobody wants to put a stop to it so there's no point in complaining about it. Every manager calls for video evidence the week his team get screwed by devious cheating such as this and then the following week when they get a dodgy penalty then all of a sudden the referee's got it spot on and well done, ya dee yada. They're equally hypocritical. Fergie wants video evidence but is oddly noncommunicative the week Ronaldo takes a theatrical tumble and they get their pk, the same goes for Jose, Jol, Wenger, etc. They all want their hand held when cheating costs them 3 points but when they benefit then "the result is what counts, and these things balance out in the end." In the end its just a lousy game for the fans, a few more years of this and we might as well watch the Mexican league.

Clearly a dive. Anyone who has played can tell that he was losing his balance, then regained it, then flopped over because he could tell he wasn't going to get to the ball.

That Wigan guy touched Thierry, and he clearly lost balance. It's not a dive, it's not a penalty either. coz it started outside the box. Talk sense you fucking cunts! Everyone hates and envy Thierry, coz he's such a great player. It's a characteristic of all great men, they all have haters.

Bingo - you're argument suggests that you too are a great man.

But I strongly doubt it.

A blatent dive. If he'd lost his balance if a fair challenge, Henry wouldn't have been claiming a pen simultaneously to throwing himself to the ground.

Whilst there is no doubting that Henry is one of the most gifted players in the world right now, the clip shows Henry at his worst.

Bingo87 says that all great players have haters... I can't actually think of anyone who actually hates Henry. Sure they hate it when he plays at base level... but hating him generally? Hardly.

Sick of seeing dives going unpunished. If you dive you deserve a yellow card. Dowd didn't give a pen but then with Henry appealing, should have issued a card. That goes for anyone. Like Jon Stead's dive. Obvious dive, yellow card.

Posted by: Col | Feb 13, 2007 2:15:10 PM

Nope, not a dive, a definite lose balance there. The ref should have help the King up.
