Ronaldinho is getting fat: the photographic evidence

Indisputable evidence that Ronaldinho is following in the footsteps of Ronaldo. (First pic taken in November 2003, the second after Liverpool's 2-1 win last Wednesday.) He must have put on at least a stone of fat in that time. Is this what happens when you believe your own hype?

Surely that should be following in the fat-steps...?

if anyone saw him play against athletic bilbao, and then take his shirt off after the match, you'll agree that he's not fat. I think the photographer caught him hunched over.

Sorry to spoil your high but a better comparision would be from last year to this year.

Cut the guy a break. I'm not a fan of Ronaldinho in the least, his constant snivelling about fouls is pathetic. HOWEVER, under FIFA's constant expansion of meaningless matches players like Ronaldinho who have a prominant national team and a prominant club play upwards of 70 competitive matches a year! You can't just expect people to do that year in and year out without lapses in form and fitness. He's bound to drown his sorrows at McDonald's at some point. Unfortunately, I'm sure he'll be back to his best soon. Things like the World Club Championship which is always one by the minnow team, because the major European team either doesn't care or is just too exhausted, should be scrapped.
