THE VOTE Worst January transfer so far?
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:
a) Ben Thatcher, Alan Pardew's first signing as Charlton boss. Fee: £500,000. Bargain.
b) Djimi Traore, arguably the worst ever player to win a Champions League title, moves from Charlton to Portsmouth, for £1m. A steal!
c) West Ham bag journeyman Nigel Quashie from West Brom, for £1.5m.
d) Sheffield Utd sign 'striker' (I use the term very loosely) Jon Stead from Sunderland, for £750,000.
What an uninspiring quartet of transfers they make. Vote for your worst…

thats a tough one for sure, i think its probably Traore but as a west ham fan im scared its going to be quashie. he may add a little fight but with a player like mascherano not being able to get a game, i dont know if quashie will help. we will see...

Stead for sure. 2 goals in 30ish games for sunderland? nowhere near good enough for the prem as he proved in 2005

If they're looking to avoid relegation, they should avoid Quashie. There's a reason he's got lots of experience in "fighting" relegation.

Actually, I haven't seen Quashie avoid relegation in a while. All pretty crap signings though.

I'd have to say Traore is probably the worst of the bunch. I have some feint hopes that Stead can get some of his Blackburn form back. Feint hopes granted.
