Pimp My Sky Box

Skybox2006 With all the hype about Sky+ and HDTV, it's easy to forget that most Sky subscribers still use the basic entry-level digibox. The humble box is about to undergo a makeover that'd make Ann Robinson weep with envy – silver wrap-around cover, glowing blue Sky logo and other yumptious facial tweaks.

The boxes, made by Amstrad, Pace and Thomson, will be introduced gradually over the next few months. You can't just ring up Sky and ask for one – whether you get a new box or are stuck with an old one is down to the luck of the draw.
